Hi,
I have a header image with a solid colour background. The theme’s menu has a kind of a “shadow” next to the Home icon that appears over the top of my header image. How can I remove this “shadow”? It’s small, but it does spoil the look of the page. I’ve attached a screenshot to show you the problem.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you.

That “shadow” is only there as a transition between the Home icon/button and the slightly smaller remainder of the menu bar. A fully straight and level menu bar would be fine for me.
As you can probably tell, I’m not a WordPress developer so I don’t know how to replace the theme’s menu bar with some other menu bar. I’ve looked at things like the Max Mega Menu plugin, but that just seems to use the same menu area as is built in to the theme (unless I’m missing something).

Here’s a screen shot from one of the archive pages, you can see there’s no “shadow” or similar by the Home icon on the menu bar.

January 12, 2022 at 4:15 am #177229NeilParticipantHi, any update or progress on this, please?
For info, I’ve now published the site to live, with the menu issue still in place. It wasn’t a blocker for me but I would like to tidy it up.
January 14, 2022 at 7:16 am #177287PsinkKeymasterwe apologize for the late follow-up. Please add this CSS to remove a black portion form the menu
.main-navigation li.home-menu.current-menu-item a::after {
border-top: transparent;
border-left: transparent;
}January 14, 2022 at 11:09 am #177301NeilParticipantThanks Psink, no problem with the delay.
Tried the CSS you posted on my live site, but it’s made no difference.
